What size tennis racquet does a child need?
Junior racquets are sized by length, from around 19 to 25 inches, to match a child's height and age. Adults choose by grip size and racquet weight.
Should I buy a strung or unstrung racquet?
Strung racquets are ready to play straight away, while unstrung lets more advanced players pick their own string and tension.
What grip size should I choose?
Common adult grip sizes run from 4 1/4 to 4 1/2, while juniors use smaller grips. If you're between sizes, go smaller and build up with an overgrip.
